I love you Suzhou
I guess it's another side we don't see of China. We usually expect photos of throngs of people, mountains, people spitting, overloaded trucks and fishermen of some sort.
But this makes me happy. It's another one of those reasons why I love China - it surprises you with the best things sometimes.

Carpenter and Cook
It's a quaint little restaurant/cafe (It's a hybrid. Too large for a cafe and too low-scale for a restaurant) with all sorts of vintage items all around. I read their website's "About" page and apparently the owners really liked collecting vintage items and decided a restaurant/cafe would be the perfect excuse for buying more. Sounds pretty legit to me too.
So I headed over with Josh and Josh for breakfast before my flight and the food is pretttyyyy good. Fine. I only had the apple crumble. But that was good. The 2 of them had sandwiches, double choc muffins and quiche - all of which I was too full to try - I'm not a morning person, as you can see (and yes, 10am is still pretty darned early). But according to Josh and Josh, the food was good. I quote:
"Yeah the choc muffin is really good"
"Yeah the quiche is not bad"
"Wow that's a typewriter"
So yes, I guess we can conclude that it's a pretty fine place.
Great, now I'm hungry all over again.

Finals week
It's finals week. Well part 1 one of it. And I've been feeling like this for the past week:
I can't wait for summer. So much that I've run out of ways to stress that. While I can't wait to be done with finals it's pretty scary how fast almost a year has passed. Was it really this time one year ago that I was freaking out about my IB Finals?!
Well I've got stats over and done with as of 11am today. With all the relentless studying, I think, I might have understood it. Kinda'. So that's my own A to myself regardless of whatever NTU thinks.
I've decided that this summer, I'm going to get off my lazy butt and earn my own money. .. Somehow. And read a book or two. I'm going to be 2 IQ points higher by the time the next semester rolls around, or so I hope.
