Kukup

About 3 weeks ago I went to Kukup, Malaysia with 2 of my friends and their bunch of friends. Was initially slightly worried that it'd be awkward but they made sure I had fun/was never hungry/never bullied so thanks guys <3 It was a short 2D1N trip in a big chalet called.... (wait for it) Hello Chalet complete with a karaoke set and mahjong tiles.

I have to say though, that I was expecting some big luxury resort hahahahahhaa but it's okay this was good too.

So this is after getting off the horrendously bumpy van ride and on our walk to the chalet.

So besides having a karaoke set there also was this huge automated fishing net that you could have brought up to you with the push of a button. Really. We found little pufferfishes in it and aghhhh too cute. Image
It got to sunset after a few hours of karaoke, lunch and mucking around + buying fireworks. And being what us Singaporeans are good at, we took about a billion photos. ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage
This is the huge net and that's Xurong going back to his primate roots and trying to push this fish that we caught into the net to be taken up. ImageImage
This would be April and Jiayi writing on the hugeass kong ming lantern blessing us with a CGPA of 5.0 (please please please)

Aaaand we ended off the night with the typical drinking session and this chit-chat session that lasted till 7 in the bloody morning, after which, most of us passed out. Only to wake up at 12pm for lunch and then to head back to Singapore. ImageImageImage

It was an escape I needed and I had tonsssss of fun meeting new people and chilling. What better way to remember this trip than to end it off with a cough that would last for 2 weeks anyway?

Christmas 2013

Spent the first half (well more than that) of my Christmas with some of my oldest friends possible. Sophia and I have a friendship that's 14 years old now, even though that started out with us being irritating children who hated each other. Funny how things turn out.

Well anyway Irene was getting baptised so we all got invited to her church to... check it out.

Had nonya food after that at Irene's paired with my (somewhat freshly) baked brownies hehehehe YUM.

Dinner after that was Teppanyaki at Jurong hill and that was ultra yum too. My family's still been trying to settle in from moving back aaaaand we had a grand total of 0 Christmas decorations put up this year. But that's okay, I still had a pretty great Christmas.
