I headed over to the new Marine Life Park at Resorts World Sentosa the other day and it was beautiful. There isn't as much to be seen when compared to the one I went to in Kenting, Taiwan this summer, but aquariums are always so pretty!
My fascination with fishes and dolphins all began this summer when we had our high school graduation trip at Langkawi where we went scuba diving. The first 5 minutes was spent worrying about whether I was going to live and mentally writing up my will at the same time. When I finally got into it I was so in love with all the fishes, corals and urchins (which, I admit, continued to scare me while I snorkelled 'cos I was pretty sure I'd die the moment I fell from the surface of the water). Anyhoo, I kept wondering what it was like to be a fish, and for whatever time I had left, imagined myself as a fish with the vast freedom of the sea.
That was a great experience though. We continued to visit aquariums and fish stores throughout the summer and ever since, I've been pretty interested in them. Not interested enough to sacrifice shopping time for it but still.
My favourite tank was the one filled with wrasses 'cos they were all so colourful and it made the tank so vibrant. Yes, I did hog a spot right in front of the tank for about 10 minutes before the guilt kicked in and I decided to be a better citizen. I'll definitely be back for the dolphins next time, though.
