T4ssie

It has finally finally hit me that my friends are jetting off on their grad trip adventures and I'm left in Singapore to die at my work desk and build my extensive shopping lists to help make myself feel better. I plan to live vicariously through their travels by demanding for new photos to be sent every now and then and to also be included in their travel-planning chat.

Also I predict more "finally"s will be added to the list because not everyone is sprawled all over the globe yet. So when the full force of jealousy takes over, I will probably either
a) go to bed for a very long time
b) book 3 new trips
c) binge watch shows
d) all of the above and at the same time

Here I present to you Part 1 of SarahWantsToGoOnAGradTripToo-PleaseDontLeaveMeBehind-WhyDoYouDoThis in conjunction with Part 4 of Tassie aka T4ssie

So this was Launceston where we lived in a cosy af Airbnb apartment on the top of a.. hill/mound/thing but it had insane views. Made me ridiculously happy every time I stepped out of the house to get into the driver's seat to be adulty with my driving capabilities and all.

We went to Cataract Gorge thanks to the host's recommendations, TripAdvisor reviews and the fact that it was a 4 min drive.

Might as well have been called Cataract Gorge-ous cos I legit could not stop saying "Omg I love it this is our best find so far I love it I love it". The public pool - The First Basin - was of the loveliest colour of blue possible on a warm (not humid - SG i'm looking at you) breezy Sunday afternoon.

We very reluctantly left for Hillwood strawberry farm after which honestly wasn't that great because most of the good berries were gone by the time we got there + the ones we did find were just O K

And then Low Head Coastal Beach for fairy penguins,

The penguin looks like an alien here and I have no way of reassuring you that this isn't it's real form because of how dark it was there.

The tour was 20AUD, the air was cold and the bushes spiky, but on that day I'd seen fairy penguins, gorgeous shades of blue and a brilliant sunset so nothing could have stopped me from going to bed happy.

... Not even driving through 60km where only 20% of the road was lit.
