Yesterday marked my first day of A-D-U-L-T-H-O-O-D / the beginning of waking up at 7 and commuting with 5.5million people, and the end of my patience.
To remind me of the more carefree, turquoise-blue days, here's more photos from Tassie (ok I think you're gonna keep seeing these over the next 3 months until probation is over and I get to smell the air of other countries --- although that's actually happening right now cos HI INDO I SMELL U)
Mt Wellington was cloudy af so visibility was like 1/10 and cold af. Nonetheless all them travel sites are right - the view/whatever-you-can-see really is beautiful sigh.
One of THE highlights was going on a boat tour with Wild Ocean Tasmania who really really knew their stuff and put us all to shame with our lack of knowledge on plankton - which are apparently, v e r y important.
(This would be me all day erryday if I could)
Dunalley Bay is one of the many stops we made while driving because I kept going "Omg look at that omg". After illegally parking the car outside a house that came with the "No Trespassing" sign, we tried to look for a place to get us a good angle and no we did not find it.
The water gets reaaaally sparkly at noon? So the whole place just looks like some mermaid palace. Basically v beaut, would like to live here.
We (sorry, I) drove up to Freycinet which took a good 3h, then hiked for half, for the highly raved about, "if you ain't seen it you ain't been to Tasmania", crystal-clear-waters, beautifully curved beach --- Wineglass Bay.
Some things just don't live up to expectations.
Stopped by Honeymoon Bay to make the most out of our $24AUD pass but the water was freezing (as usual) sooooo I'd say its a relatively good way to spend 10 mins.
After that came the most horrible drive of the entire trip - going through the Chain of Lagoons and some mountainous area with an incredible amount of sharp turns. Had to drive really slow 'cos I'm terrible at it and didn't have a death wish, so by the time I cleared the area I had cold sweat as well as an convoy of cars trailing behind me.
Stopped along some road to look at sheep but they ALL ran away from me so that didn't help either.
This has come to a very depressing stop becos PTSD so I'm just gonna go binge watch webarebears now.
